Who are the official sponsors of the British and Irish Lions?

The Lions are sponsored by a number of organisations and these companies change for each tour.

The principle partner for the 2017 tour to New Zealand has been announced as Standard Life Investments. Standard Life will feature as the main sponsor and will have their logo on the front of the 2017 British Lions tour shirts.

Canterbury have taken over from Adidas as the official kit sponsor for the British & Irish Lions tour to New Zealand in 2017.

New Zealand brand Mud House Wines have been confirmed as the official wine sponsor of the 2017 British & Irish Lions Tour.

HSBC were the principle partner for the Lions on the 2013 and 2009 tours to Australia and South Africa respectively.

Qantas were the Official Airline of the British & Irish Lions in 2013 and will carry the team and support staff down under.

The 2009 tour to South Africa was sponsored by Castle Lager and the series was be called the Castle South Africa 2009 Lions Series.

For the 2005 tour, Zurich were the main sponsor of the 2005 Lions and had their logo on the front of the Lions shirts. Other sponsors of the Lions included Guinness, NTL, Sure and somewhat originally British Lion Eggs, who were the offical Egg provider to the British & Irish Lions!

The All Blacks did not have a main shirt sponsor for the tour in 2005 but the official sponsors of the Lions series of matches in New Zealand were DHL.

For the 2001 tour, the main Sponsor for the Lions was NTL and the series between the Lions and Australia was sponsored by Bundaberg Rum.

The first major sponsor for the British & Irish Lions was conducted in the first Lions tour of the professional era to South Africa in 1997. The Lions were sponsored by Scottish Provident and had their logo embroidered on the front of the famous red shirt.
