Jonny Wilkinson along with England "round ball" star Michael Owen could be called as prosecution witnesses in the trial of two men accused of selling fake autographs to the unsuspecting public.
According to The Journal a Chester based company, Sporting Icons, is owned by Graeme Walker, 45 and he is facing 74 charges under the Trade Descriptions Act with his former business partner, Faisal Madani, 42.
The two "business" men have been accused of selling a variety of sports memorabilia including shirts and photographs, with faked autographs of the stars.
Walker and Madani deny the charges even though Judge David Hale at Chester Crown Court has selected a jury panel of 18 people who were also told to expect former Newcastle United player Ian Rush, plus Liverpool stars Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher to appear in the witness box.
The SportingIcons website still offers memorabilia from various England stars including prints that appear to be from another memorabilia company that went under last year, Big Blue Tube.
The trial begins on Thursday.
